Petroleum and Gas Engineering Department, UET Lahore Shines at PINTECH Expo 2025
We are thrilled to announce that a team from the Petroleum and Gas Engineering Dept, UET Lahore, secured 2nd place in the Civil and Environmental category at the prestigious PINTECH Expo 2025.
Their project, titled “Evaluating the Potential of Abandoned Hydrocarbon Wells for Geothermal Energy Extraction,” was recognized for its innovative contribution to clean energy development and environmental sustainability.
This outstanding achievement was made possible under the expert guidance of Dr.-Ing. Muhammad Haris, whose mentorship played a vital role in the team’s success. The department’s continued support under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khurram Zahoor, Chairman of the Petroleum and Gas Engineering Dept, has also been instrumental in encouraging a culture of academic excellence and innovation.
